About us

In 1993, Diana Wilson set up The Barnes Physiotherapy & Sports Clinic in Elm Bank Gardens. Twelve years later, in 2005, the opportunity arose to move to larger premises in a better location and thus 'Physio on the River' was born. Our building used to be the ticket office for Barnes Bridge BR Station and retains much of its old charm. It is conveniently situated in the heart of Barnes village with easy access to public transport.

'Physio on the River' is a privately owned physiotherapy centre where all types of aches and pains are treated. Furthermore, we have an interest in the treatment of sports injuries and our exercise studio provides the perfect space to work on rehabilitation of injuries and prevention of injury through pilates and yoga classes.

At 'Physio on the River' our aim is to help you to meet your goal whether that is reaching the start line of the marathon injury free, getting back to tennis following knee surgery or managing to take a 20 minute walk after a flare up of arthritis. We can help you through a graduated programme of treatment and exercises. Whether you are young or old, an elite athlete or have never taken any exercise, we can help.
