Before joining a class we highly recommend that you have a 1-on-1 session with our pilates instructor. This is so that she can find out more about you than she could in a class situation. She will ask you about any problems (previous injuries or aches and pains) and observe the way you move and your posture. It also gives her the opportunity to take you through some of the exercises so that you have some idea of what to expect when you start the classes. If you have done pilates before, then the instructor will be able to assess the level you have reached and talk through your goals and expectations.

At ‘Physio on the River’ we aim to keep our classes small – a maximum of eight people, so that the instructor can give enough individual attention and she can be sure that you are really carrying out the exercises correctly. We run classes for beginners, intermediates and advanced, and we try to ensure that everyone in the class is at the same level.
