Before joining a yoga class you may like to have an individual lesson with the yoga instructor. If you are new to yoga this gives the instructor an opportunity to introduce you to some of the exercises and to check that you are doing them correctly. She will ask you about any problems you might have (previous injuries or aches and pains) and will observe the way you move and your posture. If you have done yoga before then the instructor will be able to assess the level that you have reached and ensure that the exercises are appropriate to that level.

At 'Physio on the River' we aim to keep our classes small - a maximum of eight people, so that the instructor can give enough individual attention and she can be sure that you are really carrying out the exercises correctly. However, some people prefer to have individual tuition and so the one-to-one sessions can easily be arranged on a regular basis if requested.
