Marisol Kucharek
Marisol began her practice of 'living yoga' in the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador in 1994, where she taught herself Ashtanga yoga. This started her pursuit of yoga learning, taking her from India to Crete, Israel and California. Here she was fortunate to learn from some of the world's leading Ashtanga and Iyengar teachers.
Marisol's meditation is self-taught and inspired by the works of great thinkers, particularly Buddist psychology. It is the cornerstone to building 'mindful awareness' into her everyday living.
Mindfulness in movement is a yoga practice taught from the inside out. It combines the physical practice of asana (posture), vinyasa (dynamic breath-coordinated movement) and krama (one asana evolving into the next) with a deeply contemplative dimension. Physically, it can improve skeletal alignment, stamina, strength and flexibility.
'Quietly dynamic, as fluid as water and as intense as fire; yet to the unwitting observer the practice appears soft and effortless.'
