Nikki Cornfield

Nikke began dancing at the age of 4, training in ballet, jazz and Spanish dance in her hometown of Cape Town. As she grew older her passion for Flamenco dancing became evident and , in 1995, at the age of 17, she travelled to Spain to further her studies. On her return to South Africa she trained as a teacher for the Spanish Dance Society and taught and became a partner at the Estudio de Baile Espanol. She danced professionally for La Rosa Spanish Dance Theatre where she was a soloist until her departure from South Africa in 2000.

In 1996, Nikki discovered Pilates for rehabilitation of her own injuries and, after ten years of practice, she fulfilled her dream of training as a Pilates Instructor with Body Arts and Science International, under the guidance of Amit Younger at the Pilates Performance Studio.

After attaining her Comprehensive Teachers Qualification Nikki began teaching Pilates Equipment and Matwork both privately and in studios around London, fulfilling her long-time passion for movement and wellbeing.
