    Head
    Common conditions

    • headaches where the pain is referred from the neck and surrounding structures (called cervical headaches)
    • Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BBPV) which affects your balance and causes dizziness
    • Temporo-mandibular joint – problems with the jaw joint
    • Facial Palsy – we have a visiting Speech Therapist who specialises in treating Bell’s Palsy or facial paralysis due to other conditions

    Wrist
    Common conditions – wrist sprains, tendon injury/tendinopathies, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, fractures, work related aches and pains of wrist, hand and forearm.

    Neck
    Common conditions – arthritis or ‘wear and tear’, nerve inflammation, postural neck and shoulder pain, wry neck and slipped discs.

    Shoulder
    Common conditions – include rotator cuff problems, shoulder impingement, dislocations, bursitis, tendonopathies and fractures.

    Elbow
    Common conditions – tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, bursitis, biceps tendon problems, fractures and other tendinopathies.

    Upper back
    Common conditions – postural upper back pain and stiffness, muscular strains, rib problems, Ankylosing Spondylitis, arthritis.

    Lower back
    Common conditions – postural lower back pain, muscular strains, slipped discs, sciatica, degenerative wear and tear, spondylolisthesis, osteoporosis, facet joint wear and tear. Also abdominal muscle weakness and diastasis ( separation of the abdominal muscles) following childbirth or operation

    Hand
    Common conditions – finger and hand fractures and dislocations, arthritis, tendon and nerve injuries and carpal tunnel syndrome.

    Hip
    Common conditions – groin strains, hip osteoarthritis, total hip replacements, osteitis pubis, symphisis pubis dysfunction and muscular strains across the hip region.

    Pelvis
    Common conditions – sacro-iliac joint strains (common in pregnancy) or injuries, stress incontinence and postnatal abdominal muscle weakness.

    Thigh
    Common conditions – haematomas (deep and large area of bruising within the muscle), quadriceps strains, hamstring strains, adductor muscle strains, iliotibial band (ITB) syndrome and sciatica.

    Knee
    Common conditions – arthritis of the knee cap joint or main knee joint, total knee replacements, meniscal (cartilage) tears, Anterior Cruciate ligament ruptures and tears, medial and lateral ligament injuries, runner’s and jumper’s knee, Osgood Schlatter’s disease, fractures and dislocations and surgery following knee injuries.

    Foot
    Common conditions – plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, tendon injuries and tendinopathies, fractures and dislocations, post foot surgery, Metatarsalgia or fallen arches and bunions.

    Lower leg
    Common conditions – shin splints, compartment syndromes, stress fractures, fractures, calf strains and ruptures, Achilles tendonopathies and ruptures/surgery.

    Ankles
    Common conditions – ankle sprains, fractures and dislocations, tibialis posterior tendon problems, peroneal tendon problems, arthritis, ankle surgery including fusions and replacements.
